Fluence LabsJuly 2026 — today
Founder — Independent consultant
"Turning years of collaboration into a company built for it."
Went independent through my own company, continuing the Datavillage mission into 2026. The richness of this job was never a single technology or role — it was the exchange with the entrepreneurs I worked alongside. Fluence Labs exists to keep working that way: mission-focused, hands-on, close to the work.

Product Engineer
Deep tech scale-up founded in Brussels in 2019 — confidential data collaboration, confidential computing and ethical AI. Its principle: share insights, not data.

"Full-stack product engineering, at start-up speed."
- Product engineering in a micro-company setting: no handover between roles — development, operations and product decisions land on the same desk.
- Development in Python and React, operations on GCP with Terraform and Helm charts.
- Heavy use of AI-assisted engineering (Claude Code) to multiply execution speed on the product — a working method, not a demo.
- Domain: running algorithms and AI models inside secure enclaves (TEE), over data that is never exposed in clear — fraud & AML detection across competing parties, and consent-based personalisation on the Solid ecosystem.

"From building the product to building its roadmap."
- Joined as a developer on the team and wrote 100 % of the PSD2 bank connectivity — every bank with its own reading of the standard, behind one unified API.
- Strengthened the core of the account aggregation engine serving account information and payment initiation.
- Stepped up to Product Owner for the last two years, when the founders handed over the keys — the job turned from developing the product to developing its roadmap.
- Hands-on with the crypto and security layer the regulation demands: X509 certificates, HSM, JWT signing (HS256 / RS256), OAuth2.

"Scaling Agile & DevOps at a bank, one team at a time — 200 of them."
- Seven years of consulting across pharma, public non-profit and banking — including four years at BNP Paribas Fortis.
- Started inside a small technical innovation team: the pilot meant to prove this way of working delivered. A few months were enough.
- The bank then scaled the Agile transformation across the organisation following SAFe, running some 70 Agile coaches — and, in parallel, a technical track: the DevOps Coach role.
- Created and led a DevOps coaching team to scale the technical capabilities of roughly 200 product teams: a technical methodology built from scratch, then trainings and hands-on sessions run inside the engineering teams themselves.
- Focus on test automation (unit & CI, end-to-end with Cucumber and OpenAPI), Git adoption and CI/CD with GitLab — reaching every corner of their stacks, backend to mobile.
Clients — BNP Paribas Fortis, and an Approach portfolio spanning Belfius, Euroclear, SWIFT, the European Commission, Smals, SPW, Fluxys, Elia, STIB/MIVB

"The mission that built the foundations of everything I know."
- First professional experience — and a ten-year run on the same product, seeing it through every stage.
- Backend development in Java and XSLT, front-end in HTML / CSS / JavaScript, on a multi-service platform you could carry in your pocket — back when running your business from a mobile device was still an unusual proposition.
- Ran our own servers (HP Blade, Red Hat Linux, MySQL Cluster) before migrating the whole platform to AWS — operating what we built was part of the job from day one.
- Grew into product road mapping, UX and interface design, competitive analysis and team leadership, ending up as the CEO’s right hand.
